Consistency being the key word!
Consistent with clean eating.
Consistent with cardio 5-6 days a week.
Consistent with strength training 2-3 days week.

Everyone wants quick results but the truth is, it takes time and that’s where the patience comes in to play.
So here are a few tips:

First, understand that it took time to gain the weight; it will take time to lose the weight.

Don’t be so hard on yourself when the scale won’t budge. Remember that throughout this process, you will be gaining muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat, so the scale may not budge for a bit, but you will drop inches and dress sizes. So don’t take that number on the scale to heart!

Figure out what works for you. Some will do better with baby steps and some will need to go all in. You know how you handle things and you know what works for you and your personality.

Do Not Make Excuses! That is such an easy out. If you know you tend to work late, work out in the morning. If you know that you have a busy schedule, schedule your workout on your calendar like you would an important meeting. Let’s face it…it is an important meeting!!!

Have a support system. Your trainer is your biggest fan; include us in your support system. If a client needs more guidance or support, use your trainer, that is part of our job.

Really push yourself…I mean REALLY push yourself. You are more capable than you think. Don’t be afraid to push yourself or try new exercises.

And most of all….Be Patient….patient with yourself!

Adela

According to Wikipedia, patience is defined as the state of endurance under difficult circumstances, which can mean persevering in the face of delay or provocation without acting on annoyance/anger in a negative way; or exhibiting forbearance when under strain, especially when faced with longer-term difficulties.
