{"id":226,"date":"2013-10-21T02:23:28","date_gmt":"2013-10-21T02:23:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trainfit.com\/blog\/?p=226"},"modified":"2013-10-21T02:23:28","modified_gmt":"2013-10-21T02:23:28","slug":"move-towards-a-healthier-you","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trainfit.com\/blog\/move-towards-a-healthier-you\/","title":{"rendered":"Move towards a Healthier You"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Exercise, nutrition, sleep, stress level, water intake etc.\u00a0 There are many different factors that help or prevent you from being the healthiest you can be.\u00a0 Life is busy, and sometimes it feels overwhelming to accomplish all we need to be the healthiest we can be.\u00a0 This year has flown by and\u00a0next year\u00a0is going to fly by as well.\u00a0 There is no better time than right now to take steps to improve your health.<\/p>\n<p>Now with so many different areas to look at, it is important to take small movements to the big picture.\u00a0 Pick one area to work on at a time.\u00a0 If you know you need exercise, find an exercise you know you will do, and work\u00a0to do it\u00a0consistently.\u00a0 Spend 4-5 weeks focused just on that.\u00a0 Once it feels like a new habit move on to your next goal like getting more sleep or learning how to eat cleaner.\u00a0 Take it one step at a time.\u00a0 Week to week and month to month you will find your are developing new habits, and in turn a gradual shift into a new healthier\u00a0lifestyle.<\/p>\n<p>In your journey to a healthier you, go for progress not perfection.\u00a0 Be realistic.\u00a0 So often a new diet or exercise routine is started, but the minute you stray from the eating plan or skip a planned workout,\u00a0 you jump ship and give up.\u00a0 The goal seems\u00a0just too far away and too hard to get to.\u00a0 It takes time to adapt to\u00a0new habits and to adjust to changes in your body.\u00a0 Allow yourself to mess up and allow yourself to be proud of a job well done.\u00a0 Believe me there will be plenty of both.\u00a0 Believe in yourself to know you won&#8217;t give up.<\/p>\n<p>For me seeing is believing.\u00a0 I have found I am most successful when I document all my progress.\u00a0 I keep track of my workouts, sleep and nutrition.\u00a0 I get more motivated when I can look back on a week and see just how much I got done.\u00a0 It is empowering for me to see what I am doing well and what I need to get better at.\u00a0 Take time to look at where you are and what you need to do to improve your health.<\/p>\n<p>You are worth it.<\/p>\n<p>Happy Training<\/p>\n<p>Dolores<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Exercise, nutrition, sleep, stress level, water intake etc.\u00a0 There are many different factors that help or prevent you from being the healthiest you can be.\u00a0 Life is busy, and sometimes it feels overwhelming to accomplish all we need to be the healthiest we can be.\u00a0 This year has flown by and\u00a0next year\u00a0is going to fly [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":8,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_mbp_gutenberg_autopost":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[],"tags":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v22.6 -
