Let me tell you\u2026I could feed a small village with all of the food left in my fridge. Splurging on Thanksgiving Day isn\u2019t so bad, but when you are left with enough food to repeat Thanksgiving dinner for days, it can result in a serious excess of calories. Fortunately, there are a few ways that you can use and enjoy these leftover dishes without sacrificing your waistline! Here are some of my favorite ways to use the leftovers from my Thanksgiving dinner:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Turkey Sandwiches or Lettuce Wraps<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><br \/>\nLettuce or whole wheat bread<br \/>\nLeftover turkey, shredded<br \/>\nCranberry sauce<br \/>\nAny other ingredients you like on a sandwich or in a wrap<\/p>\n<p>Simply wrap your ingredients in lettuce or sandwich them between two slices of whole wheat bread to enjoy a fresh, delicious sandwich!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Turkey Soup<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><br \/>\nShredded or diced turkey<br \/>\nChopped carrot<br \/>\nChopped celery<br \/>\nChopped onion<br \/>\nChopped dill<br \/>\nSea salt and pepper to taste<br \/>\nVegetable broth<\/p>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><br \/>\n1. Saut\u00e9 carrot, celery, and onion in a soup pot<br \/>\n2. Once onions are softened, add seasonings and stir until fragrant<br \/>\n3. Add vegetable broth (1 cup per serving), and bring to a boil<br \/>\n4. Add cooked turkey meat and simmer until heated<\/p>\n<p>One final piece of advice: go ahead and throw out the desserts and unhealthy casseroles. If you keep them, you&#8217;re more likely to continue to eat them.
